Recorded at the LES bar Heathers by the good kids over at FADER, Benjy Ferree’s album track “When You’re 16″ (off of Come Back to the Five and Dime Bobby Dee Bobby Dee, out tomorrow via Domino) is nothing more than a plaintive lament about coming-of-age and, well, for Ferree, it doesn’t seem to be too terrible of a subject matter, considering that this entire sophomore record deals thematically with the life and death of Bobby Driscoll, the original child actor behind Disney’s “Peter Pan”.
